Singer, songwriter, producer, entertainer, writer, MC, entrepreneur  and philanthropist; Banky W will co-host the 2011 Channel O Music Video  awards with O-Access presenter Dineo Moeketsi, on Friday 11 November.
 Banky whose success has hugely increased across the African  continent from his debut album, "Undeniable: The EP" to 2005's R&B  and soul-heavy "Back in the Buildin", and "The W Experience", has indeed  proved his musical genius.
  He co-owns fastest-rising record labels, Empire Mates Entertainment  (E.M.E), which WizKid and Skales are signed. His "I AM CAPABLE"  scholarship fund has provided tuition, and accommodation for private  universities youth who meet the grade requirements.
  Banky W is also part of the "LightupNigeria" Project, which is  focused on achieving constant electrical power supply in Nigeria, as  well as various other charitable society building and empowering  projects.
  "It is truly a great honour for me to be chosen as this year’s host.  Channel O has been one of the greatest platforms for African artists  over the years, and the award show is always a spectacular event; the  show has a history of raising the bar and setting the standard for  events on our continent," Banky said.
  Speaking further, he said "I’m so proud to be a part of it. I’m very  excited about the opportunity, and I hope and pray that I do a great  job as anchor. I plan on working with the team to ensure that this  year’s show is the biggest and best celebration of African music that  we’ve had till date. Let’s go!!"
  Dineo doubles as presenter O-Access and also on Vuzu’s celebrity  show V Entertainment. For Dineo the chance to host Africa’s most  prestigious awards is a real honour that she never imagined would come.
  "I am even more excited to have such a brilliant African artist like  Banky W as my co-host. Words cannot begin to describe how thankful I am  for Channel O. I’m well beyond excited and I get tiny butterflies just  thinking about it," she said.
  Voting for the 2011 Channel O Music Video Awards closes midnight  Friday 28 October 2011 and votes can be cast via web, WAP, MXit and SMS.
  Nominees in each category include D'banj ft Snoop Dogg with "Mr  endowed", as most gifted male video, Waje and Tiwa Savage as most gifted  female video and Jesse Jagz ft M.I and Ice Prince as most gifted hip  hop video.
  Most gifted African west video nominees are Naeto C, Flavor, Asa,  2face and D-black. Wizkid and Ice Prince get nominated for most gifted  new comer while Darey is nominated as best dance video.
  Banky W is nominated as most gifted RnB, while the most gifted duo  include Samklef ft Wizkid, D'prince and Ice Prince. Best gifted afro pop  video has J-martins ft Fally Ipupa and Flavor as nominees.
  The most gifted video of the year nominees include Khuli Chana,  Samklef ft Wizkid, D'prince and Ice Prince; Zakes Bantwini, STL, D'banj  ft Snoop Dogg, Aka, 2face, Liquideep, Navio and Lira.
