Mel B's 12-year-old old daughter Phoenix has filed a battery police report against her father, Jimmy Gulzar, according to U.S. reports.
The eldest daughter of the former Spice Girl, who is currently in Australia with her mother, 36 , and family, filled out a police report after Gulzar, 44 , refused to let her leave after visit, according to RadarOnline.
Mel, who is filming the Australian X Factor, has primary custody of Phoenix with Gulzar allowed four visits a month.
Her parents initially clashed over custody in 2000, and have had a fractious and tenuous detente ever since.
This incident was sparked when Gulzar allegedly refused to let Phoenix leave his house after a designated visit.
Radar quotes a source as saying: 'The cops had to be called to enforce the court order, which states that Mel has primary custody of Phoenix.
'There was a stand off for several hours and when it became clear that Gulzar wasn't going to turn Phoenix over, LAPD responded and told Jimmy he had to allow his daughter to leave his apartment.
'When Phoenix came out, she was extremely distraught and very upset. The police immediately took her to the police station to fill out a report.'
The police report is said to contain the following passage: 'Victim is suspect's daughter. Susp has visitation rights w/daughter. When daughter attempted to leave susp's house to return to mother's home, susp grabbed vict's arm refusing to let her leave.'
Mel B and her husband, Stephen Belafonte, are currently with Phoenix, Mel's four-year-old daughter with Eddie Murphy, Angel, and their newborn baby, Madison, who is just over a month old.
Mel described Madison, who was born last month weighing in at six pounds and two ounces, is 'so gorgeous and such a chilled baby'.
She recently described how refreshing it was to have a supportive partner throughout her pregnancy with Madison.
Her marriage to Dutch-born Gulzar was tumultuous and she split from Hollywood star Murphy half-way through her pregnancy with Angel.
Mel met dancer Gulzar in 1998 on the Spiceworld Tour and they married in September of that year, while Brown was pregnant with Phoenix.
Phoenix was born in February 1999, but her parents decided to split by the end of the year.
Pregnant Brown and Murphy split in December 2006 after a six month relationship, when the Shrek star told a Dutch TV show: 'I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test.'
In June 2007, Brown married film producer Stephen Belafonte after a whirlwind four month romance and the singer recently announced plans for the couple to have more children together.
This isn't the first time that Gulzar has been in hot water.
He was arrested after a fracas with Mel's sister Danielle in 2000 which arose after she arrived to collect Phoenix, then 18 months old, from his north London home.
Then in 2002 he was convicted of assaulting a three-year-old autistic boy.
Gulzar lost his temper and smacked the boy during an outing to London Zoo in September 2001.
The attack happened after the boy pushed a two-year-old girl who was part of the group with Gulzar.
Gulzar claimed he had acted in reasonable self-defence to protect the child but district judge Anthony Evans ruled that the dancer had committed an assault.
Sitting at Horseferry Road magistrates court, Mr Evans ordered Gulzar to pay an additional £200 in costs.-DAILY MAIL
