YAYA TOURE WINS AFRICAN FOOTBALLEROF THE YEAR


Toure, a younger brother of Manchester City defender Kolo, ranks among the highest paid English Premier League performers after moving from Barcelona and scored several crucial goals for the Eastlands outfit this year. Among them was the winner against bitter rivals Manchester United in an FA Cup semi-final and the sole goal against Stoke City in the final that ended a long City trophy drought.
Seydou Keita of Mali and Barcelona came second and Andrew Ayew (son of Ghana Legend Abedi Pele) who plays for Ghana and Olympique Marseille of France came out third.
Others who win awards includes:
1) Oussama Darragi (Tunisia/Esperance) - African Footballer of the year (Africa base).
2) Perpetual Nkwocha (Nigeria) -  African Woman Footballer of the year.
3) Soulemane Coulibaly (Tottenham/Cote d'Ivoire) - Most Promising Talent.
4) Austin J J Okocha (Nigeria) and Mustapha Hadji (Morocco) - Legend award.
5) Cameroon Female National Team (The Lioness) - CAF female team of the year.
Taye Taiwo made the list for African Best Eleven. He was voted the best left full back in Africa.
