BIANCA OJUKWU,OJO MADUEKWE MAKE AMBASSADORIAL NOMINEES LIST


Bianca Ojukwu, Ojo Maduekwe and Fidelia Njeze are some of those whose names made the ambassadorial nominees list which President Goodluck Jonathan submitted to the Senate for approval.
The list has a total of 88 ambassadorial nominees. In a letter to Senate President, David Mark, the President requested that in line with section 171(1) C, sub-section 4 of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended, the Senate should consider the list of 32 non-career ambassadorial nominees and 56 career ambassadorial nominees.

"It is my hope that this exercise will receive the usual kind expeditious attention of the Distinguished Members of the Senate of the Federal Republic," Jonathan said.
Those to be considered by the Senate include former national secretary of PDP, and ex-foreign affairs minister, Chief Ojo Maduekwe for Abia state; the financial secretary of PDP, Alhaji Tukur Mani from Katsina; permanent secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Biodun Olorunfemi, Kogi; Bianca Ojukwu; and former minister of aviation, Fidelia Njeze, Enugu State.
The other nominees are former deputy governor of Oyo, Taofik Arapaja; former commissioner for women affairs in Edo, Sifawu Momoh; Nigerian ambassador to the Gambia, Esther Audu; Senator Lawan Guba from Yobe; Abubakar Shehu Bunu for Zamfara; Nigerian ambassador to Morocco, Senator Abdalah Wali for Sokoto; Senator Haruna Garba representing Gombe; and Adamu Ibrahim another nominee from Katsina.
The career nominees include G.O. Ehiabuche from Abia; Hamman Joda and M.S. Gereng-Sen from Adamawa; S.B. Bassey, Akwa Ibom; C.N. Okafor from Anambra; D.G Bala and M.S. Yunusa from Bauchi; P.O. Ogidi-Oke, Bayelsa; M. Adoli and IV Ogah both representing Benue; U. Sarki and G.A. Zakari, Borno; E.A Asuquo and B.E. Archibong from Cross River; F.N. Isah and N.C. Onianwa, Delta; F. Awanbor and P.I. Iyamabo both from Edo; as well as L.A. Ayodele, representing Ekiti State.
Others are C.N. Iroala from Enugu; D.L. Madugu and B.T. Tekune representing Gombe; C.E. Obi-Nnadozie from Imo; H.Ginsau and I.B. Rabiu both from Jigawa; and I.A.O. Nuhu and M.L. Suleiman, representing Kaduna State.
The non career nominees are Eric Aworabhi from Bayelsa; James Shuaibu Barka from Adamawa; Barrister Chive Kaave from Benue; Dauda Danladi from Borno; Katherine Okon, Cross River; Princess Victoria Onipede, Ekiti; Nonye Rajis-Okpara and Eddy Onuoha both from Imo; Olatokunboh Kamson from Lagos; Sam Jimba, Nasarawa; Cornelius Oluwateru and Col. Roland Omowa (Rtd) from Ondo; Akinyemi Farounbi, Osun; and Matilda Kwashi, Plateau State.
