Organizers of the MTV Europe Music Awards have announced that the US actress, singer, and businesswoman Selena Gomez will host the 18th edition of awards.
The Emmy Award-winning and Disney Channel television series star will not onlt take the centre stage but will also oversee all the onstage antics, performances, winners and ‘unforgettable moments’ of the evening.
‘I’m so excited to be the host of the 2011 MTV EMA, it’s a dream come true! This is such a huge event that always recognizes the biggest stars in music from across the globe, so it’s a real honor to be MC at this year’s show’, 19-year-old Gomez delighfully said.
As reported earlie Nigerian pop sensation Wizkid has been nominated in this year’s category. Other nominees in that group are Congo DR’s Fally Ipupa, Egyptian Abdelfattah Grini, Angolan Cabo Snoop, South African Black Coffee and Scribe.
The awards will hold at the Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on Sunday 6 November, 2011.
