MO’HITS' CREW SET TO ROCK LAGOS
D’banj and the entire Mo’Hits Crew are set to rock Lagos on Tuesday, 27 December, as the Lagos edition of this year’s Koko Concert holds.Billed to hold at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, the show will feature D’banj, Don Jazzy, Dr. Sid, D’Prince, Wande Coal and K Switch.
The Lagos show is coming after a successful London edition held at the Hammersith Apollo, which featured members of Mo’Hits crew and Kanye West.
The American superstar, who recently signed D’banj and Don Jazzy on his G.O.O.D Music label, flew into London unannounced and stormed the stage to the surprise of everyone.
It’s is not clear whether West will be able to make another surprise appearance this time around, but a statement by Mo’Hits media company, Media Image Managers, stated that there is sure a “major surprise package” waiting for D’banj’s fans on that evening.

King of World Beat, Otunba Sunday Ishola Adeniyi Adegeye, put up a spectacular show at the recently concluded Holy Ghost Service organised by The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, recently.
The General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who was informed that KSA was part of the congregation, called the top juju musician mid way into the service to minister to those present at the service.
Shocked by the invitation, KSA, who was said to have sat quietly among the congregation, mounted the rostrum and dished out gospel songs for about 15 minutes to the amazement of the congregation.

EDDIE UGBOMA, OMOTOLA STRANDED ON ATLANTIC OCEAN
An high sea disaster was avoided during the week when legendary producer Eddie Ugboma and star actress, Ominous Jalade-Ekeinde were left stranded on the Atlantic ocean.

A 25-year-old woman, Ifeoma Gabriel was, on Wednesday, paraded at the Kaduna state police command headquarters, for allegedly beheading her six-month-old baby.
Gabriel was said to have beheaded her child with a cutlass because she was sick and wasn't eating well last week Thursday.

Twin sisters Danielle and Nicole Fisher who were born 12 minutes apart and have shared nearly everything since growing up, now have another thing in common which will form part of their heart warming story.
On Tuesday night December 20, the 23-year-old sisters each gave birth to their first child in adjacent rooms at the hospital.
The boys were born 13 minutes apart.

Doctors in Brazil are unsure whether they can safely operate on a baby born with two heads.
The rare condition occurs when one of two conjoined twins fails to fully develop in the womb.
The “twins”, named Jesus and Emanuel, have two brains, two backbones and a single heart.
The 4.5 kg baby was born by caesarean at daybreak on Monday in a small hospital in the northern state of Para and was rushed by plane to a better equipped hospital in the state capital Belem.
Doctor Neila Dahas, who is treating the newborn, said separating the heads would be impossible because he only has one set of organs.
“What we know statistically is that the children who undergo surgery and survive are the children who have less organs in common,” she said.
She added that it is still difficult to choose which head to remove because both brains are functioning well.

AKOLADE AROWOLO ARRAIGNED FOR MURDER
Akolade Arowolo, who allegedly killed his banker wife, Titilayo, was on Wednesday arraigned for murder at a Lagos High Court in Ikeja.
Arowolo is facing one count of murder, a charge to which he pleaded not guilty.
Justice Lateefat Okunnu, who gave indication that the case would be treated speedily, fixed January 13, 2012 for the commencement of trial.
She also fixed January 12, February 7 and 20 for further trial.
OYO, OSUN TO REOPEN BOLA IGE'S MURDER CASE
Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola said yesterday that he and his Oyo State counterpart, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, are ready to re-open the murder case of Chief Bola Ige (SAN), 10 years after his murder.
Ige, former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, was killed in his bedroom at his Bodija, Ibadan residence on December 23, 2001.
Aregbesola said he had held series of meetings with Ajimobi on how to re-open the case within the next 12 months.
The governor made the disclosure at Premier Hotel, Ibadan, venue of a lecture entitled: “Political violence and assassinations: Implications for the future of democracy in Nigeria”, organized in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Ige’s assassination.

UK BLACKLISTS MEDICAL GRADUATES FROM 9 NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES
Medical graduates from nine universities in Nigeria will no longer be able to obtain licenses to practice in the United Kingdom, following a decision by the UK's General Medical Council (GMC) to ban the higher institutions.
The GMC, a body of independent regulators which registers medical doctors to practise in the UK, took the decision to bar graduates from the nine universities from writing PLAB.
PLAB is the UK exam that enables non-UK Medical graduates to undertake post-graduate medical training in the country.
ARIK HOSTESS CAUGHT WITH COCAINE
A Nigerian air hostess with Arik Air, Chinwendu Uwakaonyenma Ogbonnaya, has been arrested for attempting to smuggle four kilogram of cocaine into Britain, the UK Border Agency (UKBA) said on Monday.
The 30 year-old hostess, who arrived at the Heathrow Terminal 4 on an Arik Air flight from Lagos, was arrested on Sunday following the discovery of the drugs in an item of luggage, a spokesman for the agency disclosed.
She was charged with attempting to import a Class A substance, and was expected to appear before Uxbridge Magistrates.

Before being apprehended, his modus operandi was to hypnotise women into believing they were tormented by evil spirits and that the best way of getting rid of these spirits was to have sex with them. Efe however took his depravity one step further when he stole a digital camera and laptop from one of his victims after assuring her that those items which had been sent to her by a relative abroad, were the source of her problems as they harbored evil spirits which were affecting her.

FORMER MISS VENEZUELA DIES OF BREAST CANCER
Her family says Ekvall died on Saturday in a Houston hospital after a long struggle with breast cancer.
Ekvall was crowned Miss Venezuela in 2000. She was 18 the following year when she was third runner-up in the Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico.
She was a model, actress and television news anchor.
Ekvall's family said her remains were being cremated in Houston on Monday and that a service would be held in Venezuela once her remains were returned to the country.
She wrote the book Out of Focus about her struggle with cancer.
She was married to radio producer John Fabio Bermudez and had a two-year-old daughter.-REST IN PEACE
FAROUK ABDULMUTALLAB SEEKS NEW ADVISER
Confessed terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has asked for a new court-appointed legal adviser as he approaches sentencing next month.
The 25-year-old Nigerian and self-described al-Qaida operative hasn't appealed the surprise guilty plea made in October. Abdulmutallab faces up to life in prison for trying to use a bomb in his underwear to blow up an airliner approaching Metro Airport on Christmas Day 2009.
In a three-page, handwritten motion, delivered Monday to U.S. District Court in Detroit from the Milan federal penitentiary, Abdulmutallab complained that lawyers appointed to help him defend himself lied and misled him.

Nigeria, on Monday, launched a broadcast satellite into orbit to replace NIGCOMSAT 1 which was lost in space in 2008, 18 months after its launch.
Project manager, Abdulrahman Adejah disclosed that NIGCOMSAT-1R had been successfully launched from a Chinese launch pad.
