Witnesses said the fire caused pandemonium in the area as many of the staff were seen jumping down to the rescued hands of the sympathisers outside. According to one witness:"We were inside the bank when suddenly we were asked to move out that there was a fire outbreak at the building beside the bank.
We all ran outside to see people on the main road and serious gridlock had occurred. Some boys were seen jumping down from the building and people were rescuing them but I can confirm to you that there was no casualty as at this time because all the workers inside were saying nobody remained inside the building again", he disclosed.
