victim receives medical attention
The snapper called 911 yesterday and complained of pain to his face and chest after a “scuffle”.
Police - who are allegedly investigating the incident as a misdemeanour battery - say they want to speak to Bieber to get his side of the story as the teen pop titan had left before cops arrived.
Lt Robert Wiard, of the LA County Sheriff department, said the incident happened when the photographer tried to snap pictures of Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez as they left a cinema in Calabasas, California.
The official has revealed the photographer was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released.
But the official reported Bieber - who lost a shoe and his baseball cap in the melee - and Gomez left before police arrived so investigators want to talk to him.
The alleged victim was photographed receiving medical attention and clutching his face.
A source told a US website: “Los Angeles County paramedics arrived at the Calabasas Commons with the Fire Department and Police arriving moments later following Justin's altercation with a paparazzo.
“Justin's bodyguard also arrived while the photographer received medical attention for an apparent strike to the face.”
It's claimed Bieber lost his cool and pounced on the snapper when he refused to stop blocking his car.
Last week, the Boyfriend singer confessed that he came close to quitting his career due to the pressures of fame.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: "There were so many times when I just wanted to say, 'Enough is enough, I don't want to do this anymore.’"-SUNUK
