ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE'S PRIVATE SECRETARY ASSASSINATED

The principal secretary to Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Oyerinde Olaitan, was assassinated this morning.

Eye witness accounts state that the governor's aide was shot by four gunmen who broke into his house in Ugbor GRA, Benin City,early Friday morning.

The Chief of Staff to the governor, Osarodion Ogie, told journalists that the police have commenced investigation into the assassination.

Oshiomhole’s motorcade was recently involved in a crash, resulting in the death of three journalists attached to the Edo State Government House. The governor alleged that the crash was an attempt on his life and accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of complicity.
