STAR MEGA JAM CANCELLED

For the first time in its ten years of existence, Nigerians may not have the opportunity to enjoy the annual world class concerts featuring international musicians from around the world as Star Mega Jams, the nation’s front line concert billed to hold this December has been cancelled.

Star Mega Jam concerts that made its debut in 2000  have brought smiles and fun to faces of millions of Nigerians by pampering them with performances by international renown musicians like Awilo Logomba, Shaggy, Usher Raymond, Koffi Olumide and Ja Rule.
Other international musicians who’d stormed Nigeria to perform on the platform provided by the Star Mega Jams concerts include Kevin Little, LL Cool J, Aeon, Kane West, T-Pain, Nas, Nelly, Bust Rhymes, Ludicrous and most recently R.Kelly.
Announcing this in a press a statement made available to Weekend Groove Nigerian Breweries Plc said the show was cancelled “due to logistics challenges.”
The company’s Corporate Affairs Adviser, Mr. Yusuf Ageni said “the company regretted all inconveniences this may cause fans eagerly awaiting this year’s edition of Star Mega Jam.
Star Mega Jam, started in 2000, is an annual music concert sponsored by the Star brand. It features international artistes alongside the best of Nigerian music superstars and has become the benchmark for musical concerts in Nigeria in terms of music and entertainment with an international flavour. Star has brought an impressive list of international artistes to delight its consumers in a world class stage over the last eleven years.
